He was in population and was completing classes for good time. The classes he was attending were for substance abuse & anger management. He only had 4 weeks left in those classes to receive about 4 to 5 months good time.  All of that has changed.

Please write Boosie and let him know you are praying for him. Some of us can only imagine the level of stress that he is going thru as well as his family. It is a very different world on the other side of those prison walls and your letters uplift his spirits more than you may even know . Lil Boosie has received an overwhelming amount of support from our hero’s in the armed forces.  The comments from the soldiers have inspired Boosie to push harder even when others are trying to bring him down.  He thanks these fans greatly for understanding the meaning of his music and for fighting for this country and keeping it strong.  In this video

you will see very exclusive footage of Lil Boosie calling into Savannah, GA on his Birthday from the Angola prison to wish Quante “Mr R and B” good luck on his video shoot and the girls from Bikini Nation and Quante all wish Boosie a happy Birthday while on speaker phone and Boosie sounds really happy which he deserves   Quante has on his Marine dress blues.  People close to Quante know that he his unit were blown, from the inside, out of their infantry tank by an I.E.D they recovered from an enemy post while serving in Iraq.  Boosie gained strength by helping Quante face obstacles he has already faced on the music front while Quante continues to build his physical strength and has made an enormous recovery.  Lifting people up is the secret to success for everyone.

Let’s face it, many people hate Rap and Gangsta Rap in particular.  This case is all about lyrics.  Lil Boosie created tension with a song, commonly known as dissing in the often misunderstood and demonized rap industry.

Last week the Judge, Michael Erwin, allowed lyrics of the song “187″ to be introduced as evidence.  Specific words like “mirk” and “cake” which could be slang for murder and money.

It should be evident that this charge and trial is about lyrics, but not those referenced by the prosecution.

Torence Hatch says he is “Innocent, completely innocent” of the murder for hire charge brought against him in NOV 2010.   That charge was brought within weeks of the District Attorney (DA) Hillar Moore hearing the song below by Gangsta Rapper Lil Boosie.

Titled: “F&*! EM ALL” (Boosie mastered dropping the F—  bomb)

In this song Boosie spits ” F&*! the DA Hillar Moore, your racist ass goin to hell, probably be dead before I come out of jail, F&*! you, ya ole bitch.  He also disses

“F&*! anybody who’s hating on Boosie Bad Azz”

Since then, Torence Hatch’s life turned upside down.  A murder charge.  The other Lil Boosie song that brought misery was “F&*! the Police”  There is no question that the DA felt threatened and the Police may not be happy with those lyrics.  These songs are what Torence’s defense team keeps referring to as “disparaging remarks”.

In February, 2012 the court refused a motion to “Recuse the District Attorney” and move the trial out of Baton Rouge.  This refusal, after considering a petition with over 53,000 signatures of friends and fans was submitted to the court.

Lil Boosie is a gangsta rapper and entertainer.   Very successful at his craft.  It doesn’t appear that the Prosecutor or Judge have any clue what the gangsta rap industry is all about.  Gangsta rappers are demonized by our media and segments of society because it’s raunchy, contentious and nasty.  These entertaining thugs thrive on creating havoc with their words. Our media and society tend to be more tolerant of other thug entertainment like television series The Soprano’s or Criminal Minds.  TV series that often glorify the thuggish and murdering life.  This is a free country and Lil Boosie was earning a great wage “Gangsta walkin and Gangsta talkin all the time..” Lil Boosie says it best “When you shinin’ like this, a lot of people ain’t gonna like that.”

One thing is for certain ~ all of it is entertainment.

Unfortunately, Torence Hatch is being prosecuted for a murder he had nothing to do with.  Torence Hatch is good father who loves his kids.  Torence loves his family.  Torence’s family love him. Torence Hatch has family that has served in the Police Force.

Let’s give the DA Hillar Moore credit for making Torence Hatch’s life miserable. Is it because he doesn’t understand an industry who practices dissing regularly?  He certainly doesn’t understand the difference between Lil’ Boosie and Torence Hatch.  Let’s also give him credit for stating publicly before this trial “he is innocent until proven guilty”.  Fortunately we live in a great country where 12 peers of Torence Hatch will consider all of the evidence or lack of evidence and decide.

Torence Hatch has taken a huge hit financially and emotionally for this dissing.   It’s time for healing to begin.
